Easter Is On The Way!

Easter is fast approaching, which means trips to the supermarket for armfuls of giant chocolate eggs. But if you’ve got the whole family together for Easter, make sure you don’t waste the opportunity for some good old fashioned family Easter fun in Pakefield!

Pakefield’s beautiful beaches make a great place for an Easter egg hunt, or to go egg rolling among the dunes, so if you’ve got your family round for a massive Easter roast dinner, make sure you take the opportunity to go for a wander together.

The highlight of the Lowestoft area’s Easter festivities is the Lowestoft Lions Easter Egg Hunt, which takes place at Sparrows Nest on Easter Sunday. The hunt is for under 10s only, and entry must be pre booked by calling 0845 833 5737, though it is free to enter.

In addition to the Easter egg hunt itself, there will also be a performance by Lowestoft singing choir and the K SYL R RoadShow will be providing fun and games for all. For more events, check out our Pakefield visitors guide.

2014: A Record Breaking Year For Pakefield Tourism

Pakefield has wonderfully natural coastline

Pakefield has wonderfully natural coastline

It’s been a magical summer in Pakefield With the 2012 Olympics boosting tourism the whole country over, few were surprised when the 2013 tourist season was a record-busting success for Suffolk. But with 2014 set to be an even bigger year for the region’s leisure and tourism industries, just what is driving the Pakefield holiday boom?

With many visitors returning in 2013 after enjoying a Suffolk break last year, area is still playing a major role in driving the resurgence in British tourism. The whole county is in on the action for 2014, and is fast becoming one of the holiday highlights of the whole country.

At Love Pakefield, we’ve already seen unprecedented numbers of visitors to our site in 2014, with our Pakefield free parking guides, celebrity walks and accommodation proving especially popular.

Suffolk’s tourist attractions have also welcomed the influx of visitors. Martin Dupee, operations director of the Dinosaur Adventure, Banham Zoo and Africa Alive, told the North Norfolk News: ‘We are heading for a record year at Dinosaur Adventure with more than 200,000 visitors now being projected and, following lean years, both zoos are back well up to where they should be.’

Of course, summer 2013 in Suffolk has also been one of the sunniest summers on record, which has led to thousands of families heading east for a weekend of good old British seaside fun in the sun. No doubt they’ll be back in even greater numbers this year!
