Kirkley and Pakefield FC started the year with a resounding defeat of Great Yarmouth town in front of 165 delighted supporters on Monday the 2nd January.
The win should provide the team with a boost heading into the rest of the year.
The Royals dominated the Bloaters from the off, with the home supporters at Walmer Road cheering them on. The Royals’ two goals leave them in a strong position, ready to take on 2012’s forthcoming fixtures.
The match serves as a warm up for the 10th January’s derby game against Lowestoft Town, which is set to be a truly memorable clash, with both teams firing on all cylinders.
